Fr Pat reports on a new Parish group:

After a number of unsuccessful attempts to attract more parishioners to participate in the Parish Council, it was decided towards the end of last year to undertake a new initiative in planning how our parish will continue to serve our three-fold mission: to proclaim the Word, to celebrate liturgy and sacrament and to serve our community.  While we continue to benefit from the great work of various parish groups and ministries, a small group of parishioners and clergy has now been established as our PARISH MISSION & ACTION GROUP to oversee the planning of social events, liturgical services and opportunities for learning more about our faith.

In the coming weeks and months you will be able to read about these plans in the Bulletin and on our website.  In the meantime I ask you to pray that the Holy Spirit will inspire the work of this group so that we shall realise our vision of being a welcoming and faithful eucharistic community, serving the Lord, spreading the truth of his Gospel and helping all to respond to God’s call to holiness.
