Fr Bernard Mournian

 
 

Rev. Bernard Stephen Mournian was born on 5 April 1988, in Bellshill Maternity Hospital. He was brought up in Hamilton and attended St Mary’s Primary School and Holy Cross High School, both in his home town.

Upon leaving his Secondary education, he studied at the University of Glasgow and graduated with an Master of Arts degree in Business, after which he went on to Post Graduate studies in education and qualified as a Secondary School Teacher.

Fr Mournian then began his studies for the priesthood at the Pontifical Scots College and the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas in Rome where he acquired a Baccalaureate in Philosophy and a License in Theology. Fr Mournian also completed a Masters progrgamme on the writings and works of Josef Ratzinger at the Pontifical Augustinianum University.

Fr Mournian was ordained to the Priesthood in his home parish of St Mary’s in Hamilton on 30 June 2017 by the Right Rev Joseph Toal.
