- The present church building was opened in 1940 to replace the first St Columbkille's Church which was founded on the same site in 1851.

A Mass was celebrated for all those in special need of comfort, consolation or companionship on Saturday 17th June at 12 Noon. The Mass was greatly enjoyed by those who participated, as was the Lunch which followed in Parish Hall. Thanks to all who volunteered to help.
