The Mission of our Parish

Our parish was established in 1851 to proclaim the Gospel, to celebrate the Sacraments of the Church and to serve the needs of our community in Rutherglen.

Proclaiming the Gospel

We strive to follow the ways of St Conval, patron of Rutherglen's first church, and our parish patron St Columbkille, in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ in our words and actions.

Celebrating the Sacraments

Our church provides a consecrated place where all are welcome to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through prayer, the celebration of Mass and the Sacraments.

Serving the Community

Members of our parish community, witnessing to the love of Christ, work in various ways to support those who are most in need, in our local community and beyond.
