Bishop Toal has sent the following update advice to parishes:

• You should NOT attend Sunday or weekday Masses if you are in anyway unwell, or in a recovery period from a recent illness or surgery.
• Likewise, if you are elderly or frail or in any way anxious about your health, you should not come to Mass.
• In these circumstances, for people affected in the above ways, you are dispensed from the Sunday Mass obligation.
• At present, we shall continue with the normal schedule of Sunday and weekday Masses and Lenten services.
• Whatever develops in this crisis, we wish to keep churches open at least for private visits.
