• Welcome to St. Columbkille's Catholic Church Rutherglen

    • Welcome to our parish website which we hope you will find to be informative about our church and the life of our parish community.

    • HISTORY

    • The present church building was opened in 1940 to replace the first St Columbkille's Church which was founded on the same site in 1851.

    • Our Parish Vision

    • We aspire to be a welcoming and faithful Eucharistic community, serving the Lord, spreading the truth of his Gospel, and helping all to respond to God's Universal call to holiness, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

St Columbkille’s Parish School Assembly

Come and share memories (and photographs) of your schooldays in St Columbkille’s School, Rutherglen. Whether it was 5, 25 or 75 years ago, we want you to join us at our School Assembly in St Columbkille’s Parish Hall (the old school building) on Wednesday 13th June at 7pm. Our Assembly will start with a film which celebrates the centenary of the Act which financially secured Catholic Schools in Scotland. After tea/coffee there will be a chance to share memories of happy days and to give thanks for teachers, priests and all who, across all those years, have made Catholic Schools Good for Scotland. Old photographs can be handed in to the Parish House in advance of the night. (Please ensure that you write your name on the back of any photographs which you wish to have returned to you.)
