    • The present church building was opened in 1940 to replace the first St Columbkille's Church which was founded on the same site in 1851.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The RCIA Course for 2018/19 will start with the Enquiry Evening on Tuesday 11th September at 6.30pm in the Parish House of St Columbkille’s Kirkwood Street, Rutherglen. This Course is designed for any adult who:-

  1. wishes to take Instruction in order to become a Catholic
  2. has received the Sacrament of Baptism but not yet received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist or Confirmation
  3. wishes to learn more about their Faith.
