In response to a request from Bishop Toal, the clergy in the Rutherglen parishes  (St Columbkille’s and St Anthony’s & St Mark’s) have decided to reduce the total number of  Masses from 10 to 8. This means that, if necessary, two priests could say all the Masses for the town. This allows for priests going on holidays or falling ill, or supporting other parishes that are struggling.

The Mass times in July and August – beginning on 6th/7th July – will be as follows:

• Saturdays: 5pm in St Mark’s; 5.30pm in St Columbkille’s
• Sundays: 9.30am, 11am & 4pm in St Columbkille’s; 10am St Mark’s; 11.30am & 6pm in St Anthony’s
• In addition, in St Columbkille’s there will only be a 10am Mass each weekday (ie no 1pm Mass).
