This session is designed for anyone who requires a PVG certificate to volunteer within the parish. It lasts approximately 90 minutes starting at 7.30 pm until 9.00 pm the Church Hall and will be facilitated by John Kelly and Marie Bryce both trainers of the Diocese.

You will discover what safeguarding is and how it applies to the Catholic Church voluntary roles; recognise what legislation informs the church’s safeguarding policies; identify what to do if you are concerned about someone; how to report concerns to the Safeguarding team. On successful completion you will receive a Safeguarding Certificate.
