Deacon Bill’s Gospel Reflection  for the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus tells us to ‘Repent and believe in the Gospel.’ To believe in the Gospel is to take God at his word and believe in our destiny. To repent is a realisation of the need to change our perspective to God’s perspective. It is about reviewing our gifts, obligations, opportunities and activities in the light of God’s Kingdom. Yes, we live life to the full but we also have a duty to the poor, lonely, forgotten and homeless in our world. In our quest for success we must not lose sight of the things money cannot buy.
